WOW! My first WIN on Willow was amazing! Willow and I scored a 22.5 in dressage, putting us in 2nd place out of 18 in her second Training level event! It really is amazing how much she has matured this year. I am just too excited about our future together. I am so glad I was able to find the patience to stay at Novice until she was ready to move up.
Show jumping was really great! She was more rideable than ever, and our round was very smooth and fun! We jumped double clear and moved into 1st place 🙂
I had a little over 1 point in hand going into XC, so I knew I needed to be as quick as possible. She went around really well, with plenty of confidence and speed, but started to get tired with 3 fences left to go. I helped her out a bit too much, and collected 0.4 of a time penalty. This was good enough to keep us in 1st for the WIN! WOW! This was only her 2nd training level event and we won! I am just so thrilled!
Our next outing will be Champagne Run, where I am hoping to complete our qualifications for the AEC’s! I bought the entire CD of photos, because, WINNER! Yay!
