Hello! I am happy to say that I had a GREAT time at Spring Bay Horse Trials.
I entered SS Palantir in the Modified Division. He was a little tense in the dressage, but finished well. We did the Show Jumping with ZERO added faults. I was so excited with his enthusiasm and readability! Wow! What a difference from last year. He was great in warm up and jumped Double Clear!
Cross country was so fun. He was a blast to run and he made time by over 36 seconds! He was not even breathing heavily at all! We finished in 3rd out of 18 on our dressage score of 34.0! I am so happy with him.
Our next event will be IEA, at Prelim level. I will unfortunately miss May Daze HT due to picking up Leigh at school in Brooklyn, NY.
SS Mymonstersforreal was a star in Beginner Novice level. He was a little tense in Dressage, but came out of the ring calm. He scored a 35.6. Not his best score, but I was pleased with him anyway. We had 1 rail (mine) in the show jumping and went double clear in Cross Country. He was so fun to ride and really bold. I almost had time penalties for coming in too quickly. He is almost ready to move up to Novice. I am taking him to IEA and doing BN one more time, just to work on his dressage. I did find out that I can ride dressage in a jumping saddle and go into a soft 2 point for the canter work without any penalties. YAY! He does not have the best canter yet…
I am excited to be back at eventing both horses, and I am moving forward with my invention. (More to come on that)
